2020 Candle Lighting Ceremony Print E-mail

The Candle Lighting Ceremony is our longest running event at St. Rose.


We invite you to continue this special holiday tradition and participate through a two part pre-recorded virtual Candle Lighting Ceremony. (See links below.)

If you listen carefully, you can hear the the sound of 30+ mph winds howling during the recording of the program and bonus music.

Ice Cream SocialJoin us as we celebrate the 15th Annual Ice Cream Social on the third Saturday in August. Bring your sweet tooth while you enjoy this historic site with the growing number of supporters known as the Friends of St. Rose. Mark your calendar to join us on this summer afternoon in Cherry Grove Township to enjoy this rural setting and catch up on the latest progress.

Historic presentations will occur inside the church throughout the event and live Dixieland Jazz music will be performed outside by Out of the Blue.

We are happy to announce that St. Rose was recently listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  This is a major milestone for the Friends of St. Rose after years of anticipation.
