The Friends of St. Rose, Inc. is incorporated and the first board meeting is held.

The Minnesota Historical Society identified St. Rose as eligible for designation to the National Register of Historic Places.

Board members of the Friends of St. Rose, Inc., meet with Archbishop Harry Flynn to discuss the purchase of St. Rose from the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.

Archbishop Harry Flynn issues a Decree on October 17th allowing the transfer of title to the Friends of St. Rose, Inc., to purchase the Church of St. Rose of Lima for one dollar.

First Annual Candle Lighting Ceremony is held on December 20th.

New cedar shingled roof is installed.

New twenty-five car parking lot established.

Over two hundred and fifty people attend the First Annual Ice Cream Social on August 20th.

Crawl space dug out so floor joists could be reinforced. New I beam installed along with jacks to support the Nave floor. Floor raised 1-2 inches so there is no sagging or gaps.

All Pews were reinforced to provide additional stability. All pews look the same. Some had been reinforced many years ago.

Stained glass window installed in the Sacristy replacing the green plexiglass.

Trompe L’oeil restored above the wainscotting in the nave.

Front doors both removed and refinished. Hardware repaired and new keys made.
