St. Rose of Lima is available for events fitting of a church and for the purpose of educating future generations about historic preservation.  The Friends of St. Rose, Inc., host several annual events.  These events offer a warm environment and unique experience, harkening of days gone by, allowing friends and family to gather inside this historic rural limestone church.

• Candle Lighting Ceremony

We invite you to attend our 21st Annual Candle Lighting Ceremony on Sunday, December 17th, at 2:00 pm.

Father Henry Doyle of Shattuck-St. Mary’s in Faribault, Minnesota, will preside.

Music is provided by Brass Etc. A reception to follow at the Palof residence.

You are invited to attend the 18th Annual Ice Cream Social, Sunday, August 20, from 1:00 - 4:00pm. Enjoy ice cream while listening to live Dixieland Jazz. For the second year, we will have a homemade quilt raffle and a youth scavenger hunt. New this year, a Power-Point presentation at 1:30 pm about Cherry Grove history by Robin Wipperling, Executive Director at the Goodhue County Historical Society. We greatly appreciate your support of this preservation.
